Welcome to the Starter’s window. A place to download my thoughts about golf, life, and other things that catch my interest. We’ll talk about public golf, pro golf, and a little bit of everything else. You might ask, what idiot would start a golf blog when it’s still snowing in half the country? Well, let me assure you, this isn’t even close to the stupidest thing I’ve tried. A bit about your author. After many years as a contracted artist my wife and I moved west to take a step back and really take stock of what we enjoyed in life. Some of my happiest adult memories have involved being with friends and family on the course or around the game of golf so it seemed so simple to try and work in the industry that supports the game I love. I found a local course, joined the PGA as an associate member, and started learning the business of golf. What has followed has been some interesting and eye-opening experiences. You really can observe people when they’re recreating, practicing, struggling, achieving, competing and failing. These are the thoughts of the starter, the guy who checks you in and sends you out the door and if all goes well, you don’t see until your next check round. See you out there, friends
